Lithuanian Free Market Institute is widely recognized and consistently ranked as the most influential think tank in Lithuania. The LFMI‘s team conducts research on key economic and social policy issues, develops conceptual reform packages, drafts and evaluates legislative proposals, and aids Lithuanian government institutions by advising them on how to better implement free market principles.

Requirements
The ideal candidate for the role will possess the following attributes:

• A university degree in Economics, Finance or related discipline
• Evidence of Research Capability or Experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and statistical analysis programs
• High attention to detail
• High level verbal, written and presentation skills in English and Lithuanian
• The ability to work alone and with others as part of a team
• Strong commitment to the principles of personal responsibility and free enterprise

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Researching and analyzing policy issues important to Lithuania
• Writing policy studies, issue briefs, commentaries, articles, etc.
• Identifying innovative reform ideas implemented by other countries and making the case for why Lithuania should adopt these reforms
• Testifying before the Lithuanian state legislature and other institutions
• Taking ideas, data and principles and turning them into compelling stories in media and events
